BIOSTIMULATING LASER

Laser radiation is an optical one whose scope includes both visible and invisible radiation (ultraviolet and infrared). Laser radiation has unique properties in comparison with ordinary optical radiation:

• - it has a low divergence property
• - - it is monochromatic
• - - it is coherent

All the above properties give extensive possibilities of using lasers in medicine – both in diagnosis and in therapy.
Lasers used in medicine are divided into two groups:
- high-level energy lasers (surgical ones)
- low-level energy lasers (biostimulating ones)

The power of biostimulating lasers does not exceed several hundred mW/cm2. Low-level energy radiation does not destroy a tissue but influences the processes which lead to a change in metabolism. The effects of biostimulation are connected with the absorption of low-level energy laser radiation. This phenomenon has not been studied well so far but it is assumed that the radiation that is absorbed stimulates, above all, the transport of electrons in the respiratory chain and the cumulation of energy in ATP. Laser biostimulation is used most frequently in pain therapy, injuries, to speed up healing wounds, bedsores and skin problems. A biostimulating laser is used in preventive dentistry, endodontics as well as in dental surgery.

TEETH WHITENING LASER

Teeth whitening is performed with the use of whitening gel which is activated with laser radiation. The gel is based on oxidizers which change chemical compounds in the structure of teeth into simpler ones. It causes a change in the absorption of light wave by a tooth and gives an effect of whitening. Tooth whitening treatment with the use of a laser lasts from 40 to 60 minutes. It is painless and safe.

BIOPTRON LAMP

BIOPTRON Light Therapy System is a medical device patented on the world's scale. It has a special optical mechanism which produces polarised light but completely stripped of the UV component. BIOPTRON Light Therapy can, in a natural way, strengthen regenarative and balance keeping properties of an organism. Thus, it enables an organizm to free its own healing potential. When the light energy reaches tissues it supports the process of biostimulation (which means that it stimulates various biological processes in an organism in a positive way and, consequently, increases the functions of an organism).

ENDOMETER

It is an electronic device used for precise localization of a tooth apical foramen during a root canal treatment. It enables to determine the root canal length which makes it possible to fill it precisely with thermoplastic material. It increases the precision of an endodontic treatment.

RADIOVISIOGRAPHY

It is a technique introduced to radiology which, thanks to special sensors and a computer, enables to take x-ray images of teeth with the use of a radiation dose which is ten times lower that a conventional one. Moreover, the image appears on a computer screen immediately after it has been taken. Since the computer screen is installed next to a working unit you will be able to see it and our specialist will analise it for you.

DIGITAL PANTOMOGRAM

It offers images of jaws and mandible which are routinely taken in our surgery during a check-up. The device used in 'Aesthetica Dermadent' Professional Dental Studio is the most modern one by Gendex company. Digital technology assures precise images of oral cavity structures. An image is ready to be assessed a few seconds after it has been taken. It appears on a computer screen which is installed next to a working unit.

DEVICE USED FOR COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY

It is a professional and modern device produced by Gendex – the world's leader in the production of radiological devices. It is used for a computer tomography of head if a complicated and detailed oral cavity diagnosis is needed. The possibility of 3D imagining in a computer program increases the precision while planning surgeries in the scope of implantology.

PROFESSIONAL DEVICES FOR CLEANING AND STERILIZATING INSTRUMENTS

'Aesthetica Demadent” Professional Dental Studio uses professional devices for cleaning and sterilizating instruments produced by MELAG. The system consists of:
- special tray for washing instruments in high temperature (the temperature of water is 65ºC / 149 ºF ) and with the use of special disinfection chemical agents before sterilization
- a device for sealing sterilized instruments so that they are stored while being safely protected against uncontrolled contamination
- class B autoclave for appropriate sterilization of devices
